Ancestor money (also called joss paper, heaven notes, ghost money, or hell notes) is used to send blessings to our ancestors in the spirit realm. It is a way to send love and energy to them and to also heal family karma around money and debt.

Usually, the money offering is burned - in a fire-safe container - as prayers are said to the spirits. These offerings honor the deceased and can bring blessings to the giver as well.
